Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT) Certificate – Course Overview

The Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT) Certificate offers a detailed theoretical understanding of one of the most influential models in cognitive-behavioural therapy. Based on the pioneering work of Dr Albert Ellis, this course explores how thoughts, emotions, and behaviours interact — and how irrational beliefs contribute to emotional distress.

Through a structured online framework, you’ll study the origins, philosophy, and models of REBT, including the ABC and ABCDE frameworks, the three core “musts,” and concepts like demandingness and low frustration tolerance. The course provides an academic foundation for understanding how REBT differs from and complements other CBT-based therapies.

This CPD-accredited course is ideal for learners seeking to enhance their psychological knowledge, develop a professional foundation in counselling theory, or explore the practical structure of REBT sessions without engaging in live therapeutic practice.
