HR and Employment Law
Good basic course, some spelling mistakes at the beginning and it’s leaning toward the American aspect has me worrying about getting to employment law, would it be UK relevant, but it was
HR & Employment Law
This HR & Employment Law has given my the information that I needed for working, It has lots of section from Contracts of Employees , Bank Transfers, and Discrimination Act. I have enjoyed this and would like to train further in a law company. iStudy has the best selection of courses for everyone that needs a certificate and will be doing more.
Be warned... Interesting but out of date!
This course falls into two distinct parts. The HR units are great! Accessible, interesting, informative, and well laid out in bite-sized sections.
However, the employment law sections are clearly copied and pasted from external sources, and often reference the need to “See paragraph XYZ” which has obviously not been copied into the course material!
Some information in the employment law units is also woefully out of date; for example, I have completed the course in 2021, but in the unit about minimum wage, it discusses what the minimum wage WILL rise to in 2006. Information about workplace pensions and maternity leave is also now incorrect.
It is frustrating having to learn information which I know is wrong, purely to pass an exam at the end of the course.
I also found that the exam questions had been poorly worded, with some questions not even forming a complete sentence.
